NBYL Spring 2020 Update
by posted 03/13/2020

In an effort to get out ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic, NBYL has decided to postpone all activities, including all indoor sessions at Starland, and the jamborees; until after April Break (4/26/2020). We will continue to evaluate the situation and adjust the 4/26/20 start date as needed.

The TPL season is not scheduled to begin until the weekend of 4/26/20, so the postponement does not affect the total number of games your son will be playing this season.

The safety of our players and the community is important to us. We feel it is important to be proactive in an effort to limit the spread of the virus.

Although the season doesn’t kick off for a couple weeks, we have scheduled some indoor skill sessions for all NBYL players to help get the rust off, and jump start the outdoor season.  The sessions will be held at The U in Hanover. We are also looking to play some small ball games against other towns the weekends of 3/28/20 and 4/4/20. Your level directors will be reaching out with details and availability for the small ball events.

Here is the indoor schedule:

  • March 15th (SUNDAY)
    • Grade 5&6 6-7pm
    • Grade 7&8 7-8pm
  • March 21st, 28th (SATURDAY)
    • Grades 3&4 3-4pm
    • Grades 5&6 4-5pm
    • Grades 7&8 5-6pm
  • April 4th & 11th (SATURDAY)
    • Grades 1&2 2-3pm
    • Grades 3&4 3-4pm
    • Grades 5&6 4-5pm
    • Grades 7&8 5-6pm

Below are some of the grade level logistics for the spring.  The game schedules won’t be on the website www.norwelllacrosse.com until late March, with first games are set for the second weekend of April Break (4/26/2020). In addition to the information below, expect an email from your grade level director sometime in the next few days, introducing themselves, and outlining the upcoming season’s events and key dates.

We look forward to seeing all of your kids out on the fields this spring, and if at any time you have questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to email me (Josh Snyder -- President NBYL) directly at
